Kathmandu, March 19: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has vowed to make the party inclusive in terms of women inclusiveness.
At a programme organised by Nepal Women's Association in honour of the newly-elected party office-bearers and the women central members here on Saturday, Deuba called on the women to be organized more.
"Bring women from all communities and classes from all the regions - Madhes, Hilly and the Mountainous - in the Women's Association; I assure you that I will provide them fair responsibility," he declared.
Recalling that women have shown their ability many times in Nepal's political changes, party president Deuba committed to extend his full support in making the NWA as the only representative body.
Party general secretary Dr Shashank Koirala said although there has been political change in Nepal, social change has not been adequate and called on the women to lead that change.
NWA president and party central member Dr Dila Sangraula on the occasion honoured party treasurer Sitadevi Yadav and central members Ambika Basnet, Sita Gurung, Laxmi Pariyar and Sujata Pariyar, among others.
