Kathmandu, March 10: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has called on the
Pakistan Government to resume the Kathmandu-Karachi air service halted
for the past few years.
During his meeting with Pakistani Ambassador for Nepal Mazhar Javed at his office on Thursday, the Vice President said the resumption of the Kathmandu-Karachi flight would be beneficial for the Nepalis going for employment in the gulf countries, as stated by his press coordinator Manoj Gharti.
In response, Ambassador Javed said the Kathmandu-Karachi expressed the probability of resuming the service which, he said, were suspended after Pakistan decided to slash fights across the world in 2013.
Similarly, during his meeting with Bangladeshi Ambassador Ms Mashfee Binte Shams at his office, the Vice President underlined the need of further consolidating cultural, social, religious, economic and educational ties existing between the two countries
