Kathmandu, March 19: Property worth hundreds of thousands of rupees has been gutted in two separate incidents of fire in Kathmandu today.
Police said fire that broke out at a cotton factory belonging to Ramchhewal Prasad at Kageshwari Manahara gutted property worth Rs 600 thousand including the machinery, a shed with zinc roof and cotton.
Similarly, goods worth Rs 200 thousand were destroyed when fire engulfed a grocery shop of Bijendra Shrestha at Tarakeshwar Municipality. Police said the fire at the store was caused due to a short circuit.
