Mahashivarati painting for peace, tourism

Pokhara, March 9: An online media -nagennews.com- organized a painting exhibition focused on the Mahashivaratri festival here Wednesday.
The five-day exhibition has 75 paintings on display. Twenty-five painters created the pictures centered on the Mahashivarati, a big festival of Hindu people.
The exhibition is organized at the Nagen Art Gallery of Dhungepatan in Pokhara city.
Gallery Director Sahabir Gurung shared that the exhibition has tried its best to depict the multifaceted aspects of the Hindu festival. The exhibition is the first of its kind after the establishment of the gallery in the city of lakes.
Editor at nagennews.com, Jyoti Hamal, said such exhibition would be constituted to promote Nepal's art and culture for honing social transformation.
The paintings are made on water, oil, oil pestle, acrylic, and pencil.
