Indian Ambassador congratulates Deuba

Kathmandu, March 9: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae has congratulated Sher Bahadur Deuba on his election to the post of Nepali Congress president.

Reaching the residence of Deuba in Budhanilkantha today, the Indian Ambassador Rae congratulated, on his own and on behalf of Indian government, leader Deuba for being elected the president of Nepali Congress that led the democratic movements in Nepal, chairman of Nepal Press Union Badri Sigdel said.

During the meeting that lasted for around 30 minutes, Rae said that India wants to see peace, stability and prosperity in Nepal. In response, Deuba said that the Nepal-India relations were harmonious for centuries and expressed the confidence that it would further strengthen in the future.
