Kathmandu, March 19: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal today stressed on the need to remain committed to developing Nepal's sports sector citing it as a means to unify the country.
Speaking to a delegation from the All Nepal Sports Federation at his residence at Lazimpat, Dahal said sport was a means to unite the country and called for its modification and commercialization so as to develop and promote it. He said that the problems seen in the sports sector must be fought, and instructed the officials to remain steadfast in its development, Dahal's Press Coordinator, Surya Kiran Sharma said.
He also instructed the officials to work for making UCPN (Maoist) the number one party in the country within the next two years, and actively forward socialist revolution across the country.
Federation's Chairman, Yuvraj Lama, briefed Dahal on the ideas for resolving the problems seen in the Nepal's sports sector.
